Only a couple of business days into the new year and it sounds like a good-sized merger is in the works. The rumor factory is buzzing about Wipfli acquiring Eide Bailly. Most accounting profession names in the spotlight (Accounting Today’s Top 100 and otherwise) estimate an increase in public accounting M&A activity this year. This Wipfli (what an odd name) deal could just be the start.  Stay tuned.
